oneSafe App Reviews

97 add

Buggy at best and support often takes weeks.

This lateset update has rendered the software useless. Not able to update any entries and it crashes regularly. I tried to use this software, but it has always failed me. The lastest update causes the progrma to crash everytime I open it. When it is open and I attempt to copy and paste my password it often hangs and crashes and when I paste my password its incorrect. Really hard to find anything to like about this software. I’ve contacted support via their support tab, their facebook page and by emailing. I always wait at least 72-96 hours before I get a response. Don’t waste your time on this software. It doesn’t work properly and the devleopers just don’t care.

Great Idea, Best App, but lacks support

It’s a great app, best in class, in all respect: beautiful graphics, easy GUI, extra security, easily shared among all devices. I’m using it on my iPhone, an iPad, and my macBookPro since 2013. Can’t live without it. Still, the updates are not properly checked for bugs, and in the recent updates for iOS and OSX there are plenty FATAL ERROR. Is not pleasant to see all your data unavailable for weeks because OneSafe crashes and you’re helpless! The worst part is the Customer Support: only an answering robot and then a guy unable to fix your problem. Excellent idea + bad support = BAD APP

Horrible

This program crashes everytime I open it with the present Apple OS. Unless this is fixed, not worth the mooney!!!

USELESS

The latest version (2.0.4) has rendered OneSafe COMPLETELY USELESS, and has effectively locked me out of ALL MY PASSWORDS by crashing on startup every time, without exception. I cannot get a fix from their support department. Only one Lunabee support person, Olivier, reponded to my desperate reply SIX DAYS after my initial contact. He gave an answer which was no help whatsoever. I imagine Lunabee is so inandated with user’s cries for help, they simply cannot keep up and must be (hopefully) trying to come out with an update to fix this problem, that they simply don’t respond. But, really, is this any way to run a company? Come on guys, how about posting something to let us know how long it will be before the problem is fixed?!!! I guess before too long I will be deleting OneSafe and searching for a replacement app. Any suggestions, anyone?

Can’t get in new version

New version keeps crashing! Can’t even get in. Really hard to do anything without all my passwords! UPDATE: Been more than a week and no progress. Pretty much now just hoping they eventually fix it so I can export all my passwords and never use this program again.

App won’t open

The problem with trusting one app with all your passwords is when that app crashes, all your passwords go with it. OneSafe crashed two weeks ago after the last software update that was purported to improve stability (ha!). Every time I type in my password to open the app, it just crashes. I cannot open it. All my passwords are locked inside. Help desk responded with one unhelpful email, and has ignored me ever since. Don’t use this app. It is unreliable, and if there is anything you need is a password app, it’s reliability. Going to search for a better app now.

Stay away!!!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this app has brought me to it. Like others have mentioned, the latest version of OneSafe crashes after entering the master password and therefore all my passwords are out of reach. I also contacted customer support and a week later got a message stating that a new version had been sent to Apple for validation. No apology or help with a work-around. I looked at their website and found nothing that referenced or helped with this issue. I will be looking for a more reliable app after this. Lunabee - get your act together!!

No help from Customer Support

Keep away from this App !!!!!!! You update to version 2.1 and the app quits working. Customer support is awful, they never get back to you on this product. If you buy this app after this warning, you need some serious outside help.

New Version fixed crashing problem.

UPDATE: The latest version 2.0.5 (2044) has fixed the crashing problem mentioned below. It is ridiculous that it took over a week to get the first response from Support, but I am finally able to access my passwords again after two weeks. Luckily I was able to access them via my iPad and iPhone. My recommendation: Once you get it working, turn off automatic updates for this app! They might break it and you will be without your passwords until they get around to fixing it. Previous Review: The new update of the app crashes whenever I enter my passcode to unlock it. This is unacceptable! The update notes claim “Major Stability Improvements.” Improvements from what? The previous version worked great. This one doesn’t work at all. That’s not an improvement. I would have declined the update if I had known it was going to break something that I use many times each day. Obviously the developers did not test the update very well! How do I downgrade to the previous version that worked? Please get it fixed NOW! I need my passwords! That being said, I have loved the app in the past and will love it again once the issues are resolved. It’s just bad that they didn’t test it before release.

Most recent update crashes constantly

The update that added support for MacOS has caused the app to constantly crash for me on El Capitan. Crashes as soon as I input my passcode.

Few User Modifications & Slow Customer Service

(These comments pertain solely to the Mac App version of OneSafe.)The concept is great and the security seems worthwhile. But there are few if any modifications a user can implement. This might be okay for keeping a few account passwords, but there is no ability to add other fields or to create one’s own templates. I find that I have a wider variety of data types to secure than OneSafe provides for, (e.g. medical data, legal documentation such as birth/marriage/death data, military data, etc.). Securing scanned PDF’s is okay, but specific data will not be searchable on the PDF. Having the ability to create and modify fields would be outstanding. At present the app has a one-size-fits-all approach, which is fine for some, but leaves a lot to be desired for others. Also, I noticed a bug in the yellow Notes field. You can only put enough data that is visible in the field. If you cut and paste more text than is visible there is no side scroll to allow you to see the hidden information. I wrote an Email to OneSafe about this bug as well as some questions regarding creating personal templates and adding fields. Seven days came and went without a reply. So I wrote another Email, this time using their Bug Report form. It took five more days to get a response. They mentioned that they have no current plans to have customizable templates, and as far as the bug, they recommended that I just download the latest version. I’ve tried using the Mac App Store “Update” feature without success. My plans are to attempt to get a refund because the product does not suit my particular needs, it locks up at times, is not customizable, has a bug, at present cannot be updated, and lastly the customer service seems to be lacking. Your mileage may vary, and this may be a great product for you, but for the price I hoped for better.

Lofty Concept Struggles With Functionality

Starbucks gave me the iOS app free a while back and it functioned well. As a stand-alone app, it provides a convenient database of user provided logins, passwords, etc, which functioned better than the google doc I had previsouly been using to keep track of sensitive information. My satisfaction using the iOS app parlayed into downloading the OS X app which proported to sync across all devices, saving data securely to ones Apple iCloud account. After ironing out a few wrinkles in the initial sync, both iPhone and MacBook worked well together. Syncing failed a few weeks ago and a local reset (recovery using my DB ‘saved’ to my iCloud) resulted in unexpected data loss. …. :/ grrrr…. Pros: EASY TO USE: Using the OS X app, synced with the mobile app, I can quickly import my sensitive information on my desktop and have it available while on the road. QUICK: The iOS app provides touchID access redusing the ‘effort’ to get to senstive information. QUICK: OS X system integration and browser plugins make access to senstive information rapid. DATA OWNERSHP: Exports all data to CSV for app-free retention of information. Cons: UPDATE: UNSTABLE: The OS X app crashes frequently (~98% of use results in a crash). <- At this point, it’s more like a convienent auto-close feature I’ve come to rely on. (each time I send the report to apple) UNSTABLE: Image search crashes the OS X app ~80% of the time. UNRELIABLE: Stability reduces my confidence to keep this app as my primary respository of sensitive information. DESIGN FAILURE: Database templates are limited in scope & custom templates are not available to create (to the best of my knowlege) DESIGN FAILURE: OS X browser plugin password suggestion pop-up prohibits browser use until dialogue is dismissed. FOREIGN OWNERSHIP: Ownership in Singapore, outside of the US, means I only use tolkens of my senstive information. I never include the entirety of my sensitive information in the database. (good practice for anyone storing sensitive informaiton on harddrves out of one’s control) I have, perhaps irrational, fear of a foreign entity with control over my personal information. Summary: Clearly the Cons out number the Pros, however, the OS X/iOS app tag-team is convenient enough to continue to use. Frequent crashes are frustrating and I don’t recommend the software to anyone unable to cope with unexpected program failure and/or data loss. For those of you with a strong will and exceptional patience looking to move away from hardcopy or spreadsheet password lists, OneSafe may be a nice step up, albeit small.

Continues to improve

This app continues to improve, and show excellent commitment from the developers. With the gradual switch of 1Password to different model, and probably eventually to their sync server, oneSafe will likely become my favorite password app.

Horrible app now

Computer version crashes every time I try to open it. It is not possible to open, and it just closes immediately or does nothing at all. This, on top of the fact that I cannot get it to work in the OneSafe cloud so I have to back-up to my Dropbox, using up valuable space, make me very unhappy with this program. It seems every password app from every vendor eventually doesn’t work or loses my data (this one has done that about 9 months ago). Very frustrating.

Good idea, lacks execution

I’ve used this app for a long time. I really like the core functionality, it’s well designed and works. I never use the browser plugins, but I love how you can securely copy-paste passwords in public places. But the synchronization features have gone down the drain like rock. I have multiple Macs and keeping 100s of passwords synced between them is crucial in my workflow. It all was great until the iCloud interface had to be updated. Then I ended up with duplicates, and stuff that doesn’t sync. And now it’s a wholy mess that will take an hour or more to clean up. May have to find a new solution. (update Dec 2016) Still the same situation. Everytime the app updates, synchronization becomes a major issue. Had to completely rebuild everything after my three devices had become disconnected after the last update. Now most things are back, but I can’t get the double protection category to re-sync with my iPhone. Help documentation is out of date with current software. They should stop making this fancier and instead make it work solid. After all it’s a password application. It just has to work. Doens’t have to be fancy.

Crashes on MacOS 10.11.3

Bought this for the mac because I bought it on the iPhone because it had good reviews / ratings. Crashed multiple times trying to launch because i tried to add an existing account (that i created on my phone) that didn’t have data in it. Adding a simple note in the iPhone app fixed the syncing crash but now it just crashes every single time I try to log in. I’ve submitted reports every time it crashed and I’m going to try to get a refund. $20 for an app that crashes and won’t even load is not acceptable. If the devs read this… System Integrity Protection: enabled Crashed Thread: 1 Dispatch queue: com.apple.libdispatch-manager Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGSEGV) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000 Binary Images: 0x10e7c6000 - 0x10eae5ff7 +com.lunabee.sg.onesafemac (2.1.1 - 2051) <29F2C6B1-C876-3B6D-8253-D9CF6116BAF8> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/MacOS/oneSafe 0x10efea000 - 0x10f0b2fff +com.parse.macos (1.14.2 - 1.14.2) <9B214DB9-002E-3F30-BFCD-F9CE68EBBBBF> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/Parse.framework/Versions/A/Parse 0x10f15f000 - 0x10f16bfff +com.bolts.macos (1.8.4 - 1.8.4) <E135917F-0F08-3062-9182-3FA223894F0C> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/Bolts.framework/Versions/A/Bolts 0x10f179000 - 0x10f186fff +com.github.shpakovski.MASShortcut (2.3.5 - 2.3.5) <3CF97776-CFBE-344F-A0DC-13834E0467E7> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/MASShortcut.framework/Versions/A/MASShortcut 0x10f1a3000 - 0x10f3d4ff7 +com.dropbox.Dropbox (1.0 - 1) <BC73C2C3-4985-3C37-B694-4A1ED81D18C2> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/Dropbox.framework/Versions/A/Dropbox 0x10f657000 - 0x10f69dff7 +net.hockeyapp.sdk.mac (2.1.0 - 24) <DD657D9B-77E1-3ED2-A7EE-243120F9AABC> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/HockeySDK.framework/Versions/A/HockeySDK 0x10f6e0000 - 0x10f6ecff7 +libswiftAppKit.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <614C47ED-3CE9-3619-A356-9E0D813DBDAB> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftAppKit.dylib 0x10f6fd000 - 0x10f704ff7 +libswiftCloudKit.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <C8A5E917-C5C7-35BF-A531-1A59ECBCF03F> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCloudKit.dylib 0x10f70c000 - 0x10f712fff +libswiftContacts.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <BA08F7FD-1BD6-3475-B693-02F9A68D6C9D> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftContacts.dylib 0x10f71c000 - 0x10f98bfff +libswiftCore.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <9B104D3B-B8B8-35EF-9AD4-9B81A718FFAD> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCore.dylib 0x10fc07000 - 0x10fc11ff7 +libswiftCoreData.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <38BE45DC-AD2F-3CB5-A658-6D6C1C6001B8> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCoreData.dylib 0x10fc27000 - 0x10fc35ff7 +libswiftCoreGraphics.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <8B1780DA-B8D1-3FEF-B7C9-8EE0A8C59335> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCoreGraphics.dylib 0x10fc4e000 - 0x10fc52ffe +libswiftCoreImage.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <D88B54FB-3A7B-30E7-B918-6472D35B5153> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCoreImage.dylib 0x10fc5d000 - 0x10fc61ffe +libswiftCoreLocation.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <3C713E51-1205-3843-A231-0CE5B41B6D74> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftCoreLocation.dylib 0x10fc66000 - 0x10fc6cff7 +libswiftDarwin.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <919C618F-A903-339A-BE2A-EA4594F2CB17> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftDarwin.dylib 0x10fc79000 - 0x10fc79fe7 +cl_kernels (???) <246EA016-7968-4B38-BEE9-E0CAD4DA579D> cl_kernels 0x10fc7b000 - 0x10fc96ff7 +libswiftDispatch.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <B7DF7971-1E2F-3C56-BA39-FD4BA1671FFC> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftDispatch.dylib 0x10fcd6000 - 0x10fdaaff7 +libswiftFoundation.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <BD143F76-8156-334F-9B1C-A88EBF80BE55> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftFoundation.dylib 0x10fea1000 - 0x10fea4ff7 +libswiftIOKit.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <1528E5EB-02D6-3E07-9897-BD00B18E93D8> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftIOKit.dylib 0x10feac000 - 0x10feb1fff +libswiftObjectiveC.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <D4271CBF-B9EC-3000-B527-0F601A29B646> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftObjectiveC.dylib 0x10fec2000 - 0x10fec5ff7 +libswiftXPC.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <BFFBF948-5BD4-3DFC-B33D-30B9B698020C> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftXPC.dylib 0x10fed0000 - 0x10fed5fff +libswiftos.dylib (3.0 - 800.0.46.2) <BB790887-0280-3DAF-992B-7B32153D9000> /Applications/oneSafe.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftos.dylib

Upgrade to V2.1.2 Working Well

I was having some of the issues others reported in terms of oneSafe crashing on my iMac either upon sign-in or while I was working in the app. At the same time I have had no issues accessing oneSafe on my iPhone. Olivier/OneSafe Support were fantastic in providing the coaching I requested to safely uninstall and then reinstall oneSafe. In the process I also upgraded to V2.1.2 which may have also provided greater stability. In terms of the uninstall/reinstall I created two back-ups - one of my iMac oneSafe data and also backed-up the same data via my iPhone to iTunes. The upgrade to V2.1.2 was quick as was my recovery of the iMac based back-up data. Very happy to say that I have been up and running error free once again. Thank you oneSafe!

my best safe app

i use it for my iphone & my mac & it works just fine it saves my life but the mac version crashes from now and then and the iphone version is great and doesnot crash but when oppen the app not as fast as dashlane or 1password i recommend the app for anyone and worth the money

Somewhat disappointed

While the iPhone app works pretty flawlessly, the Mac version leaves a lot to be desired. Considering I paid significantly more for the Mac version, I would expect it to work at least equally well. It crashes fairly often, seems to take up a inordinate amount of processing power (kicking my Mac’s fan into high gear), and generally acts buggy. The most prevalent bug makes using the app almost useless. When I try to scroll down a long list of passwords, the app constantly springs the list back to the top. The only way to get to an entry at the bottom of a list is to perform a search. At this point, I would encourage the developers to spend some time fixing the Mac version and would discourage potential users from buying the app until they do.

Best “safe app” for Mac NO SUBSCRIPTIONS! Tested six apps.

Tried several of the “safe” apps for Mac with iOS integration. This is by far the best. Simple and intuitive. It is powerful yet easy to understand. Backup is VERY easy to create and is password protected itself. This new version even has a better user interface - both the Mac version and the versions for your iPad and iPhone. It integrates 100% with Safari and all passwords are saved on all your Apple units via iCloud! Both iOS and OS X works seamless together. Very “Macish” other simliar apps are very PCish and does not feel as intuitive as OneSafe. Price is a joke but most likely they will raise it soon so for us who buy it now it is a bargain! Black Friday every day... I use the app on a daily basis - normally I enter all my info like credit cards, codes etc. on my computer at home and then use it from my mobile units. Now with the update it even creates well encrypted “cards” inside the OneSafe app so I don´t have to open Keychain every time my wife asks for a password - just email her that “card” from my OneSafe to her OneSafe 100% encrypted. Family Sharing means you buy the app once and you can both use it. Now even 100% compatible with Sierra and MOST IMPORTANT!!! No subscription fees. Seems like this is the only app left who does not charge you a fee every month. You “own” the app after paying. I also love the TRI-PAD you´ll understand when you installed it. Symbols are moving so even if someone sees you put in your code symbols are at different position next time!
