Few User Modifications & Slow Customer Service

(These comments pertain solely to the Mac App version of OneSafe.)The concept is great and the security seems worthwhile. But there are few if any modifications a user can implement. This might be okay for keeping a few account passwords, but there is no ability to add other fields or to create one’s own templates. I find that I have a wider variety of data types to secure than OneSafe provides for, (e.g. medical data, legal documentation such as birth/marriage/death data, military data, etc.). Securing scanned PDF’s is okay, but specific data will not be searchable on the PDF. Having the ability to create and modify fields would be outstanding. At present the app has a one-size-fits-all approach, which is fine for some, but leaves a lot to be desired for others.

Also, I noticed a bug in the yellow Notes field. You can only put enough data that is visible in the field. If you cut and paste more text than is visible there is no side scroll to allow you to see the hidden information.

I wrote an Email to OneSafe about this bug as well as some questions regarding creating personal templates and adding fields. Seven days came and went without a reply. So I wrote another Email, this time using their Bug Report form. It took five more days to get a response. They mentioned that they have no current plans to have customizable templates, and as far as the bug, they recommended that I just download the latest version.

I’ve tried using the Mac App Store “Update” feature without success.

My plans are to attempt to get a refund because the product does not suit my particular needs, it locks up at times, is not customizable, has a bug, at present cannot be updated, and lastly the customer service seems to be lacking.

Your mileage may vary, and this may be a great product for you, but for the price I hoped for better.
